This 19th Century terraced house had been neglected and subdivided into a number of bedsits. We reinstated its original use as a family home with refined finishes, while also extending it to include a new basement. The finished product is light and elegant. A number of interventions were undertaken to attain a BREEAM Ecohomes rating of “Very Good,” including insulating external walls, upgrading the heating systems, and replacing windows and doors, while maintaining the traditional details and character of the terrace.
