We were delighted to attend the re-opening ceremony at Stationers’ Hall yesterday. Peregrine and Oliver joined an esteemed crowd of company members, contractors, consultants and the Lord Mayor of the City of London to mark the momentous occasion. The crowd was split into a number of tour groups following a ribbon-cutting ceremony and PBA joined in leading guests around the building to explain the changes and show off the new facilities.
It has certainly been a turbulent few years in the construction industry with Brexit, Covid, material costs and materials shortages. Still, we are overjoyed with the final result – the transformation has been truly revolutionary for the Hall. The new heating and cooling systems will ensure user comfort year-round whilst reducing energy consumption by approximately 80%. The less-abled can now access much more of the building and the circulation has been rationalised to allow enable multiple events to be held concurrently.
